Sigma Slipper Clutch for MV Agusta 1000
Sigma slipper clutches are intended to help motorcycles enter corners, especially on the racetrack, by automatically slipping the clutch whenever engine braking exceeds a certain point. Benefits include · Elimination of wheel hop entering slow corners. · Improved grip entering fast corner’s as the rear tyre is no longer has to turn over the engine · Some protection against excessive over revving if the rider accidentally changes down too many gears going into a corner. Sigma’s clutches have proven to be light (about 950 grams depending on model) dependable and efficient; in 2006 virtually every 2006 model R6 in British Supersport used our clutches with the rider citing smoother performance on corner entry and exit, crisper shifting action and increased ‘zip’ from the motor as benefits over the OEM item. All Sigma clutches are approximately one third (that’s 500 grams!!) lighter than the OEM slipper clutches; a significant reduction in inertia in classes where the crankshafts cannot be lightened under the rules.
